Steps to make Sukiyaki:
  1. Make Sukiyaki Sauce by combining Dashi, Sugar, Mirin and Soy Sauce.
  2. Heat Oil in a pan or pot then add some of the Beef Slices. When the Beef starts to change colour, pour in some sauce and add some of each vegetable. Do not stir. Let everything cook in the sauce.
  3. When things are cooked, you take whatever you like from the pot, dip it in a lightly beaten raw egg and enjoy it. Because the food is very hot, the egg will be slightly cooked on it and add a wonderful taste and flavour, and it will also make this dish more nutritious. Sukiyaki can be enjoyed without egg.
  4. As things are eaten, add more meat, vegetables and sauce as required. This way everyone can eat until they are satisfied.
  5. *Tips: At the end of the meal, you find delicious sauce remaining in the pan. Don't waste it! Add cooked Udon and enjoy it.

Foods That Can Make Your Mood Better

Mostly, people have been trained to think that “comfort” foods are bad for the body and should be avoided. At times, if your comfort food is a high sugar food or some other junk food, this holds true. At times, comfort foods can be perfectly nourishing and good for us to consume. There are a number of foods that basically can boost your moods when you consume them. If you are feeling a little bit down and you need an emotional pick me up, try a number of these.

Eggs, believe it or not, can be truly wonderful at beating back depression. Just see to it that you do not throw away the yolk. Whenever you would like to cheer yourself up, the yolk is the most important part of the egg. Eggs, the yolks in particular, are high in B vitamins. B vitamins can be great for lifting up your mood. This is because these vitamins help your neural transmitters–the parts of your brain that dictate your mood–function better. Eat an egg and be happy!

Build a trail mix out of seeds and/or nuts. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and so on are all terrific for helping to boost your mood. This is because these foods are loaded with magnesium, which helps to increase serotonin production. Serotonin is known as the “feel good” substance that our body produces and it tells your brain how you should be feeling day in and day out. The more of it in your brain, the happier you’ll feel. Not only that, nuts, particularly, are a fantastic protein source.

Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you want to fight depression. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3s. DHA and omega-3s are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s gray matter. It’s the truth: eating tuna fish sandwiches can really help you overcome your depression.

Some grains are actually excellent for driving away bad moods. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all excellent for helping you feel better. They help you feel full also which can truly help to improve your mood. Feeling hungry can really make you feel terrible! The reason these grains help your mood so much is that they are not hard for your body to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your sugar levels which in turn takes your mood to a happier place.

Green tea is wonderful for moods. You knew green tea had to be included in this article, right? Green tea is high in a certain amino acid called L-theanine. Studies show that this specific amino acid can basically stimulate brain waves. This helps better your mental acuity while calming the rest of your body. You already knew green tea could help you become better. Now you know that green tea can improve your mood too!

Now you realize that junk food isn’t necessarily what you have to eat when you want to help your moods get better. Try some of these instead!
