Instructions to make Homemade Kiritanpo:
  1. Prepare 2 rice cooker cups' worth of rice (360 ml). Use a rolling pin to lightly roll it out, then bring it together and divide into 5 portions. Wrap over cooking chopsticks or metal skewers.
  2. Each one should be about 15-16 cm long. Grill or toast until lightly browned.
  3. Combine the dashi stock, soy sauce, sugar, and sake and turn on the heat. Season with salt. Cut the pork into easy-to-eat pieces and add it to the pot. Add the vegetables and aburaage and bring to a boil.
  4. Remove the cooked kiritanpo from the skewers or chopsticks, then cut each one diagonally into 4 pieces. Add to the boiling pot and bring back to a boil. Eat while still hot.

If you wish to overcome depression, try consuming some cold water fish. Cold water fish such as tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3s. DHA and omega-3s are two things that actually help the grey matter in your brain run a lot better. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can really help you overcome depression.

It’s not hard to overcome your bad mood when you consume grains. Barley, millet, quinoa, etc are great at helping you be happier. They help you feel full also which can really help to make your mood better. Feeling hungry can really bring you down! These grains can improve your mood as it’s not at all difficult for your body to digest them. You digest these grains faster than other things which can help boost your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel more pleasant, mood wise.

Your mood can truly be helped by green tea. You just knew green tea had to be mentioned, right? Green tea is loaded with a particular amino acid known as L-theanine. Studies prove that this specific amino acid can actually stimulate brain waves. This helps raise your mental sharpness while having a relaxing effect on the rest of your body. You were already aware that that green tea helps you be a lot healthier. Now you are well aware that it helps you to raise your moods as well!
