Grains can be great for overcoming a bad mood. Millet, quinoa, barley, etc are fantastic at helping you feel better. They fill you up better and that can help improve your moods too. Feeling starved can be terrible! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are easy to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps promote a rise in your sugar levels which in turn brings up your mood to a happier place.
Green tea is truly great for your mood. You were sure it had to be in here somewhere, right? Green tea has a lot of an amino acid called L-theanine. Studies have found that this amino acid basically induces brain waves. This helps better your mental acuity while relaxing the rest of your body. You knew green tea could help you feel healthier.
