Build a trail mix from seeds and/or nuts. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and so on are all terrific for helping to boost your mood. This is possible because these foods are rich in magnesium which boosts your production of serotonin. Serotonin is the “feel good” chemical that tells your brain how you feel day in and day out. The more serotonin in your brain, the more pleasant you’ll feel. Nuts, along with bettering your mood, can be a super source of protein.
Cold water fish are wonderful for eating if you wish to combat depression. Herring, trout, tuna, wild salmon, and mackerel are all high in omega-3 fatty acids and DHA. DHA and omega-3s are two things that actually help the grey matter in your brain run a lot better. It’s true: chomping on a tuna fish sandwich can really help you fight back depression.
Some grains are actually great for fighting off bad moods. Millet, quinoa, barley, etc are excellent at helping you feel happier. These grains can help you feel full for longer also, helping you feel better. Feeling famished can be terrible! These grains can elevate your mood as it’s easy for your body to digest them. You digest them faster than other things which can help increase your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel better, mood wise.
Green tea is actually excellent for your mood. You were simply anticipating to read that in this article, weren’t you? Green tea is loaded with a specific amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies prove that this particular amino acid can actually stimulate brain waves. This helps better your mental acuity while relaxing the rest of your body. You knew that green tea helps you become better. Now you are well aware that green tea helps you to raise your moods too!
