Instructions to make Breakfast Steak n' Eggs Sandwich:
  1. Season steak. I'm partial to montreal, but you can use salt and pepper or anything else you'd like.
  2. Heat oil over medium high in a cast iron skillet. Sear steak on both sides. Remove from heat and let it rest.
  3. Lower the heat to medium low. Add 1 tbsp oil and then fry your egg. 60 second on one side, flip and repeat. This produces a slightly runny yoke. If you want more runny don't flip crank the heat up to medium. If you want less runny….. You don't want less runny.
  4. Serve on toasted baguette with horseradish sauce (I've got a quick recipe for that on cookpad). Garnish with dill.

Learn How to Improve Your Mood with Food

Many of us believe that comfort foods are terrible for us and that we should stay away from them. If your comfort food is candy or junk food this might be true. Other times, though, comfort foods can be completely nutritious and it’s good for you to eat them. A number of foods actually do raise your mood when you consume them. If you seem to feel a little bit down and need a happiness pick me up, try a couple of these.

Eggs, would you believe, are fantastic for helping you combat depression. You should make sure, though, that what you make includes the yolk. The yolk is the most essential part of the egg iwhen it comes to helping you cheer up. Eggs, the yolks in particular, are rich in B vitamins. B vitamins can be terrific for elevating your mood. This is because they help improve the function of your neural transmitters, the components of your brain that dictate your mood. Eat an egg and be happy!

Make a trail mixfrom different seeds and nuts. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etc are all great for helping to raise your mood. This is because these nuts are loaded with magnesium, which helps to raise your production of serotonin. Serotonin is known as the “feel good” chemical and it tells your brain how you should be feeling day in and day out. The higher your serotonin levels, the more pleasant you will feel. Nuts, along with raising your mood, can be a super source of protein.

Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you want to combat depression. Wild salmon, herring, mackerel, trout, and tuna are all full of omega-3s and DHA. These are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can really help you fight depression.

Some grains are really wonderful for fighting off bad moods. Millet, quinoa, barley, etc are fantastic at helping you have a happier mood. They fill you up better and that can help improve your moods too. It’s not hard to feel a little bit off when you are starving! The reason these grains help your mood so much is that they are easy for your body to digest. They are simpler to digest than other foods which helps bring up your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, raises your mood.

Your mood can actually be helped by green tea. You knew it had to be in here somewhere, right? Green tea has been found to be rich in an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have discovered that this amino acid essentially induces brain waves. This helps improve your mental focus while having a relaxing effect on the rest of your body. You were already aware that green tea could help you become so much healthier. And now you are aware that it can help you be happier also!

You can see, you don’t need junk food or foods that are bad for you so you can feel better! Try some of these instead!
