Some grains are truly excellent for fighting off bad moods. Teff, barley, millet, quinoa, etc are all good for helping you be in a happier state of mind. They can help you feel full for longer too, which can help your mood too. Feeling starved can really bring you down! The reason these grains can improve your mood is that they are not difficult for your body to digest. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps raise your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, elevates your mood.

Research has found that this amino acid induces the production of brain waves. This helps raise your mental sharpness while calming the rest of your body.
