Instructions to make Chicken Soup using Pressure Cooker:
  1. Put the chicken inside the pressure cooker, cover it with water. Add ginger powder, garlic powder, onions, and carrots. I don't add any seasoning on this step. Cook for 30 minutes inside the pressure cooker and turn off the stove.
  2. Once you can open the pressure cooker, the soup base is still boiling hot, add the seasoning. A basic salt and pepper will do. Test the taste and adjust as you want.
  3. Add the additional stuffing on the next step. I like to add wood ear mushroom. On this step, I like to turn on the stove again, just to make sure that the mushroom is well cooked. The vegetables only need a short time to cook.
  4. Stir the soup, last taste test. Turn off the stove and enjoy the soup@

Foods That Make You Happy

For the most part, people have been taught to think that “comfort” foods are bad for the body and should be avoided. Sometimes, if your comfort food is candy or some other junk food, this is very true. Other times, though, comfort foods can be completely healthy and it’s good for you to consume them. There are several foods that, when you eat them, can better your mood. If you seem to feel a little bit down and you’re in need of a happiness pick me up, try some of these.

Eggs, believe it or not, are great for helping you battle depression. You should make sure, though, that what you make includes the egg yolk. Every time you want to cheer yourself up, the yolk is the most important part of the egg. Eggs, the yolks particularly, are high in B vitamins. B vitamins can genuinely help you elevate your mood. This is because they help in improving the function of your neural transmitters, the parts of your brain that affect your mood. Consume an egg and be happy!

Make a trail mix from seeds and/or nuts. Peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and so on are all terrific for helping to boost your mood. This is possible as these foods are rich in magnesium which promotes serotonin production. Serotonin is known as the “feel good” chemical substance and it tells your brain how you should be feeling day in and day out. The more serotonin in your brain, the happier you’ll feel. Not only that, nuts, in particular, are a great protein source.

If you would like to battle depression, try consuming some cold water fish. Cold water fish including tuna, trout and wild salmon are chock full of DHA and omega-3 fatty acids. DHA and omega-3s are two things that promote the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s the truth: eating tuna fish sandwiches can actually help you overcome your depression.

It’s not difficult to overcome your bad mood when you are eating grains. Quinoa, barley, millet, etc are terrific at helping you be happier. These grains can help you feel full for longer as well, helping you feel better. Feeling hungry can be awful! These grains can help your mood elevate because it’s not at all hard for your body to digest them. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps kick up your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, elevates your mood.

Green tea is actually good for your mood. You knew it had to be in here somewhere, right? Green tea has been found to be rich in an amino acid known as L-theanine. Research has proven that this amino acid induces the production of brain waves. This helps raise your mental focus while relaxing the rest of your body. You already knew green tea could help you feel better. Now you are well aware that green tea helps you to raise your moods as well!

Now you can see that junk food isn’t necessarily what you should eat when you are wanting to help your moods get better. Try several of these instead!
